A Presentation about LIASE 2024 Summer Research Trip
Thursday, October 5th. Wilder 101

On October 5, faculty members and student assistants from the LIASE summer research trip shared their experiences and findings as a presentation. The LIASE Foundation supported two study trips: one led by Professor Sherif, exploring the educational applications of hibaku jumoku (A-bombed trees) in Hiroshima, and the other led by Professor Macomber, examining the art of okou (Japanese incense) in Kyoto. While two of the three students presented online, the talks and subsequent Q&A session sparked the audience’s interest in the topics and anticipation for future activities. Roughly twenty-five students, faculty, and community members attended the session.
