Music and literature contribute to resilience and environmental justice movements in communities challenged by earthquakes, tsunami, and other rapid changes of the earth. This seminar focuses on music in Indonesia after the West Sumatran earthquake in 2004 and literary and musical responses to the 311 tsunami and nuclear disasters in Japan.
Grant Availability
Seminar participants are eligible to apply for Curriculum Development grants for integrating Environmental studies and Asian Studies into their classes.
